Welcome !

Welcome! This is the official El Camino Real District Website. Each week we will send out an EBLAST on all the activities that will happen over the next seven days. The El Camino Real District provides fun, adventure, and moral values that last a lifetime. We serve nearly 3,000 youths that participate in Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Varsity Scouts and Venturing Crews every year.

The El Camino Real District Roundtable Meetings are held the 2nd Thursday of each month. Please arrive early as the meetings do start promptly at 7:00PM. After the General Session you may attend any one of the breakout meetings where you will learn and discuss various topics with leaders and others within the district. The location of the meetings is held at: Laguna Niguel LDS Church, 28291 Alicia Parkway, Laguna Niguel, CA 92677 @ Creek and Wood Canyon Wilderness Park.  Please remember EBLAST's are official communications from your district representatives, Committee Members and Chairman.

Fully Trained - Rich Galpin

Fully Trained in 2012

As the Training Chairman for the Orange County Council I have an obvious passion for adult leader training.  As a parent I witness the same fervor for which other parents chose their child’s teacher or athletic coach.  They want to be assured their son or daughter is being instructed by a qualified and certified individual.  Why is it we have not always required the same by our scout leaders.  After all, they are not teaching our children how to hit a ball; but are teaching them life skills.  Our Den Leaders, Cubmasters and Scoutmasters have been asked to reinforce what we teach our children in our churches and homes.
